Fit First Responders
Fit Summer Fundraising Campaign
Fit First Responders is proud to announce our Fit Summer Fundraising Campaign. This summer, we invite you to partner alongside us to make a profound difference in the lives of the brave men and women who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting our communities. Your support will help us provide critical health and wellness programs tailored to the unique needs of first responders.

Your Support Matters
First responders face physical and mental challenges daily that most of us can’t even imagine. And because of the high stakes of their jobs, maintaining their health and resilience is crucial. Fit First Responders is committed to offering comprehensive mental health support and fitness programs to ensure our heroes are healthy, encouraged, and always ready to serve and protect. Your support is invaluable in this endeavor.

The Need
The physical and mental health of first responders and veterans is abysmal, compromising not only their own lives, but the strength and safety of our communities. First responders and veterans are two of the highest risk mental health categories. One in three first responders suffers from PTSD (SAMHSA) and up to 30% of veterans develop the condition (NIH). Sadly, first responders account for 1%, of all suicides (CDC), while 17 veterans die each day by suicide (U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs). More police officers and firefighters die from suicide than in the line of duty (Ruderman, 2018).
These are unacceptable statistics in light of the sacrifices these honorable men and women make each and every day to serve our communities. Without fit and mentally healthy first responders, our communities are at risk. Each profession faces mentally and physically demanding jobs with high stakes both for themselves and the citizens of Oklahoma. We need our paramedics, officers, and firefighters in optimal mental and physical condition to face the life-and-death situations they proudly and bravely face each and every shift.
In its nine years of operations in the Tulsa area, FFR has had a major impact on the health, performance, and morale of first responders and veterans. The FFR system has been proven with extensive data on all participants to document its effectiveness. The sobering statistics stated above are not isolated to Tulsa. We aim to extend the same outcomes from Tulsa to the entire population of hurting and struggling first responders and veterans across the great state of Oklahoma.
RESULTS

“I got my results back, I had lost 55 pounds, I lost 21% body fat, I lost 12 inches off my waist and gained 5 pounds of muscle. If you told me a year ago that I would squat 450 pounds, I would have said no way. I am able to do my job better than I was before the program. If you look at these results, you’ll never see anything like this in any other program, there is nothing like this around.”

“Before Fit First Responders, stagnate is the word I would use for myself. I was in a rut at work and at home. I was at my heaviest in January of last year, and as a firefighter, I knew I was not where I needed to be.With Fit First Responders, I am back in control of my life. I lost 58 pounds and dropped my body fat mass by 72%. I am now there for my kids, for my wife, and not having excuses at the house. I’ve become a manager of my time, it’s been a total game changer.”

“The results I’ve experienced are nothing short of tremendous and exciting. I have lost 12 inches from my hips, 11 inches from my waist, 5 inches from my chest and 37 pounds. Working with other first responders, we were a team not only in Fit First Responders but we were a team in supporting and protecting our communities. I no longer suffer from high blood pressure, I no longer have acid reflux, all my medications are a thing of the past. I find myself a lot more confident when I go into my job. I did not have that confidence before this program.”

“You can go to a gym anywhere, you can sweat and get a workout anywhere. This program is more than that, it’s a physical challenge, and it’s a mental and spiritual challenge. It’s a relationship challenge. It challenges you in every aspect of your life, not just physically. And being physically fit, fits directly into law enforcement. You have to be fit to be able to carry out your duties, you have to keep going, and you have to be the best you’ve ever been at each minute. I’ve lost 33 pounds 7 inches in my waist 6 inches in my hips. It’s changed our lives. Everywhere needs this program. Start this program and every aspect of your life will improve.”
